BECOMING A CLIENT
Becoming a client is easy. Simply contact us to arrange a meeting to
explore how we can help you. Your initial meeting is free and without
obligation.
Before, at or after the initial meeting, we will ask you to provide us with as
much information about yourself as possible, and comply with the
Money
Laundering regulations on proof of identity. The initial meeting can be
much more constructive if these matters are dealt with before or at the start of
the meeting.
There are some simple procedures which apply when you decide to instruct us -
- we write to your previous accountant to enquire whether there are any
matters that we should take into account before accepting your instructions
- this is known as professional clearance, and you may want to contact your
previous accountant first as a matter of courtesy
- we ask your previous accountant to let us have details from their files
which include
- their bank reconciliation workings
- their schedules of debtors, prepayments, creditors, accruals
- copies of your latest tax computations
- details of any tax elections which have been submitted
- we issue two copies of our letters of engagement setting out what we
believe you have asked us to do, and what you remain responsible for, and
how we are to be paid - if you agree these, you keep one copy for your
records and sign and return the other copy to us
- we will ask you to sign HMRC forms 64-8 which are an authority for HMRC to
correspond with us in respect of your affairs if that is appropriate
Reminder - disclaimer applies. Please feedback your comments.
